Founded in 1998, Silver Basket began as a little shop of silver jewelry and unique gift items for locals. As there is no other place to shop except for “franchise box” stores, Jeannie Ard wanted to offer quality gifts and jewelry at a reasonable price. While Jeannie worked hard to establish the tiny little shop in the first years, she also suffered from Breast Cancer and didn’t live to see her dream come to what it is today. 

All the gals at Silver Basket promised to continue to pursue her dream and today the shop shines as a testament to her. The shop is filled with treasures that are unique and fun. Everyone enjoys our southern hospitality and most return as soon as they can to see the ever changing gift items and latest jewelry treasures. Silver Basket is physically located in the heart of a sleepy little town in lower Alabama. We are about 25 miles from the pristine sandy beaches of Alabama Gulf Coast. We have been voted the Most Unique Gift Shop in this area. Visiting Silver Basket is a real treat for both locals as well vacationers coming to the beach for summer or winter vacations.
